Bio
My psychotherapy practice of 23 years is founded on creating a respectful, collaborative, and safe therapeutic alliance in which the patient’s inner life can be honored and explored. This is pursued with the aim of helping to reduce suffering, and to establish a more satisfying relationship with oneself, loved ones, work, and other meaningful pursuits. My therapeutic orientation is primarily psychoanalytic, but also informed by cognitive-behavioral, humanistic, and mindfulness foundations, so as to best allow for the fullest appreciation of what it means to be human, to relieve suffering, and allow for greater joy and creativity in living one’s life.
