Farrell Silverberg, Ph.D., NCPsyA, is a psychologist, psychoanalyst, the first Westerner to be trained in Taopsychotherapy in Korea, and has published in journals in the United States, Europe and Asia. He began integrating psychoanalysis and Buddhism over thirty years ago, and his 1988 paper on the combined technique is called Therapeutic Resonance. Silverberg’s post-intersubjective contribution to the development of psychoanalytic theory is described in his 2020 paper “The Interspace: Evolving Psychoanalytic Metatheory.” Silverberg is currently a Supervising and Training psychoanalyst at the Philadelphia School of Psychoanalysis. His book, Make the Leap, distills psychoanalytic concepts into accessible language as an educational tool about our profession for the lay public.
